After a lucky client purchase, we were asked to complete the transportation of this light weight Porsche 550 Spyder. Created in 1953, the 550, with it’s clean aerodynamic shape and four speed transmission, dominated at famous circuits such as Goodwood, Nurburgring, Le Mans and Targa Florio.
The car has been associated with many celebrities, most famously James Dean who tragically died when his Sypder- ‘Little Bastard’ – collided with Donald Turnupseed on the way to a race. However this hasn’t put buyers off the car, which can fetch up to well over $5 million at auction, even in the most basic of conditions before restoration.
We wish the new owner all the best with their new purchase, which, with it’s drop top and royalblue paint, is the perfect car for summer.
